Findhorn Bay is a fabulous destination for birdwatching.

Culbin Forest is on the western side of Findhorn Bay and is accessible by Water Taxi or car.
Cluny Hill offers beautiful, undulating woodland pathways (and a dedicated mountain biking trail area) in the nearby town of Forres.

History & Culture
Visit the wonderful castles of Cawdor and Brodie, the ruins of Kinloss Abbey, Duffus Castle, Spynie Palace, Elgin Cathedral and the famous battlefield of Culloden.
For something more prehistoric, the ancient burial cairns of Clava Cairns are near Inverness.
Mountains
Aviemore and the Cairngorm National Park is only 1 hour away, with wonderful mountain scenery, summer sports activities and hiking and skiing in the winter.
Whisky Country
Benromach Distillery is the closest working distillery to Findhorn offering tours and tastings. Moray is home to the Speyside Whisky region, which boasts over 50 of Scotland’s 115 distilleries, due to its unique spring water and golden barley. You can find the Malt Whisky Trail here.
Towns
Forres is 5 miles away and has good shopping, a beautiful park and the Falconer Museum.
Inverness is 30 miles away and is the capital of the Highlands with museums, shopping and shopping centres, restaurants and the excellent Eden Court Theatre.
